Vispa ägg och strösocker pösigt. Rör ihop vetemjöl och bakpulver och blanda sedan ner det i smeten.
Koka upp vatten. Fånga upp 1 dl hett vatten och rör ner i smeten. Häll smeten i en smord och bröad springform Ø ca 24 cm.
Grädda långt ner i ugnen 175° i 35-40 min. Låt svalna.
Valfritt: Dela kakan på mitten. Fördela ut hallonsylt på den ena delen. Lägg den andra delen över. Låt ev. kakan bli kylskåpskall.
